About Sorted Living

I can offer expert, hands on advice, support and implementation in the following areas:

Sort & de-clutter

Creating living or working environments that work for you rather than against you:

  • How to conquer clutter
  • Design solutions for displaying treasures
  • Storage solutions giving every day items logical homes – where putting things away becomes a pleasure and eases the burden of cleaning
  • Re-homing and re-cycling of items to family members, auction houses/web sites, charity, storage or indeed to the dump

You could start by choosing an area of your home or office that causes you the most frustration.  You will be amazed how quickly we can work through your possessions and identify what is really needed, where it is most logically stored and then re-home those items that are only clogging-up your living space.  Once we have achieved a huge clear out or re-arrangement of your possessions, those which are left behind will need to be organised into storage systems that work for you, are attractive, easy to use and maintain order.  If the results work for you, you may feel tempted to move forward and improve each area of your home or office.

Sorted maintenance

  • Keeping organised comes more easily to some than to others!
  • Some households may need periodic maintenance to help keep things on track

Sort & de-clutter to facilitate a house sale

  • Beautifully organised homes sell faster!

You will want potential buyers to aspire to how and where you live.  A beautifully designed and organised home will generate a ‘feel good factor’ which will undoubtedly make your house a more attractive purchase.  Simple changes can achieve this goal and give your home the necessary facelift.

Smooth moving

  • With forward planning and expert execution a move need not be stressful – be it domestic or international

Carefully planning a move, be it domestic or overseas starts with looking closely at the space and contents of your current home and comparing it with the space and storage in your new home.  Settling into your new home could feel like an exercise of ‘colouring by numbers’ as the pre-determined plan we have set in place in your old home, unfolds in your new home, with furniture that fits, shelves and cupboards already in place and boxes packed and labeled according to where they will be unpacked.

Preparation for and living through a building project

  • Tried and tested procedures to help relieve the pressure of a building project and stay on good terms with your builder!

Streamlining areas of your home that will be affected by your up coming building project can be done by packing away as many of your possessions as possible and setting in place a simplified living space for the duration of the project. It may be necessary to further downsize your possessions as the project nears completion, allowing builders and decorators access to more rooms.  A simple life can seem quite liberating, especially when it means you have the comfort of knowing that your favourite sofa is not becoming impregnated with dust or splattered with paint.

Spring clean administration & paperwork

  • Get on top of the mountain of admin that haunts us all
  • Develop a system with which to move forward

There is nothing more boring than spending time on admin and paperwork.  An admin system, which is easy to use and maintain can be achieved by sorting and prioritising paperwork and administration into subject areas,  filing and arranging to ensure a system that works and can be maintained moving forward.

Re-organise a household to make room for a carer, for ground floor living or indeed to downsize house altogether

  • Expertise in easing individuals in need of a change of lifestyle into more practical living environments for their stage of life, be it in their current or new home

Moving furniture, possessions, tv points etc to achieve a different living arrangement within your home.
